We are looking for a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team in building and operating the core Whole-of-Government (WOG) data platform. In this role, you will drive infrastructure automation, cloud operations, CI/CD implementation, platform reliability, and DevSecOps best practices to support secure and scalable data integration across agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and enhance the core WOG data platform to support scalable and secure data operations.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployment and delivery.
- Develop and optimize infrastructure automation to improve deployment efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement DevSecOps practices to ensure systems, applications, and pipelines remain secure against potential threats.
- Support government agencies in integrating and onboarding datasets onto the platform.
- Develop and maintain data connectors and pipelines for efficient and reliable data ingestion.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and data teams to ensure seamless delivery and operational excellence.
- Manage containerized environments and cloud infrastructure, including orchestration and deployment activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for tools, processes, and platform capabilities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members while contributing to key technical decisions.
Requirements
- Strong experience in DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and automation pipelines.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation tools.
- Familiarity with GitHub and modern source control workflows.
