Job Summary
The Associate DevOps Engineer is an entry‑level role designed for early‑career technologists who are passionate about automation, cloud technologies, and modern software delivery practices. This position provides hands‑on experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps practices while working closely with and receiving mentorship from experienced DevOps engineers.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a strong technical foundation and grow into a full DevOps Engineer position by contributing to real‑world, production‑level systems within an enterprise environment.
Role Description
DevOps & Automation
- Assist in building, maintaining, and supporting CI/CD pipelines
- Contribute to infrastructure automation using scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code tools
- Support cloud platform environments under the guidance of senior engineers
- Help maintain the reliability and availability of development and deployment platforms
Operations & Support
- Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Support routine operational tasks, platform monitoring, and alert response
- Document processes, standards, and system configurations
Security & Best Practices
- Learn and apply DevSecOps practices within CI/CD pipelines
- Follow organizational security guidelines and compliance standards
- Collaborate with security and engineering teams to help remediate issues
Learning & Collaboration
- Work closely with application developers, operations teams, and senior DevOps engineers
- Participate in code reviews, team standups, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Actively learn enterprise DevOps tools, platforms, and processes

Other Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or relevant work experience required
- Relevant experience, including internships, in DevOps, cloud technologies, software engineering, or IT operations
Preferred
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Familiarity with source control tools (e.g., Git or GitHub)
- Basic understanding of containers, infrastructure automation, or DevSecOps concepts
- Internship experience, lab work, or academic projects related to automation or cloud computing
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 which includes a base salary. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
