Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer (SDE III / Lead) to design, build, and scale cloud-native infrastructure and platform systems. You will play a key role in improving developer productivity, system reliability, and deployment velocity across our engineering organization. This role requires deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and modern platform engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS
- Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS or self-managed) for large-scale production workloads
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitOps principles
- Drive infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Implement robust observability systems using Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Coralogix, etc.
- Ensure high system reliability, performance, and cost efficiency
- Automate operational workflows, deployments, and incident response processes
- Lead production incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and postmortems
- Collaborate with development teams to improve system design, performance, and release processes
- Define and enforce best practices for security, scalability, and reliability (SRE principles)
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to platform engineering strategy
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years in DevOps / Platform Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, etc.)
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes (networking, scaling, debugging, internals preferred)
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, etc.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Strong understanding of observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Coralogix)
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and microservices architecture
- Solid Linux fundamentals and troubleshooting skills
- Programming/scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash, or similar)
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems
Preferred Qualification
- Experience with AI-powered DevOps / AIOps tools
- Familiarity with LLM-based tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, internal AI assistants for DevOps workflows)
- Experience building or integrating AI-driven observability or automation systems
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
- Contributions to open-source projects or internal platform tooling
