DevOps Engineer (mid to senior)
MUST BE LOCAL TO Austin, TX (hybrid in office 2-3 d/wk)
USC OR Current GC holder (NOT able to sponsor a Visa at this time)
*NOTE: NOT looking for Pure SRE with no IaC background, or developer with only incidental ops work
Must have
- 5+ years operating production Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE, OKE, or self-managed)
- Strong CI/CD with Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, or GitHub Actions
- GitOps with Argo CD or Flux
- Infrastructure as code with Terraform and Helm
- Multi cloud networking (VPC, Private Link, peering) and federated identity (OAuth, SAML, OIDC)
- Secrets management with Vault or equivalent
- Observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and a log aggregator
- Security awareness across SAST, DAST, SCA, image signing, and air gap container registries
- Working knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2). They do not need to be a compliance expert but must be comfortable operating controls
Nice to have
- Production AKS experience (we run several AKS deployments)
- Lakehouse and streaming infrastructure (Apache Iceberg, Kafka)
- PostgreSQL and Redis at scale
- Prior work with regulated customers in banking, utilities, or healthcare
- Familiarity with ISO 42001 or NIST AI RMF
