Project Details
We are seeking a senior Technical Architect – Infrastructure Automation to lead enterprise automation transformation initiatives across on-prem infrastructure environments. The candidate will architect and drive automation using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and GitLab, ensure CMDB data integrity, integrate with ITSM systems via REST APIs, and implement AI-driven automation frameworks.
This role requires strong business collaboration skills to demonstrate automation value, communicate ROI benefits, and drive organization-wide adoption. The candidate must also have hands-on Agile experience in managing sprint cycles and leading cross-functional teams from assignment through delivery.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Enterprise Automation Strategy & ROI Ownership
- Define and execute enterprise-wide automation roadmap.
- Identify repetitive L1 & L2 operational tasks and convert them into automation use cases.
- Quantify and present automation ROI (cost savings, ticket reduction, SLA improvement).
- Collaborate extensively with Infrastructure, DevOps, Application, and Business teams to:
- Explain automation benefits
- Promote adoption
- Align with organizational goals
- Drive value realization and measurable business outcomes.
🔹 Infrastructure Automation & AI Architecture
- Architect automation framework using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
- Develop reusable, modular Ansible playbooks for:
- Server provisioning
- Patch management
- Service remediation
- Health checks
- Access management
- Design interface playbooks capable of auto-selecting automation workflows based on Edge AAP input.
- Architect AI-driven automation models to:
- Analyze incident patterns
- Predict recurring issues
- Auto-trigger remediation playbooks
- Implement GitLab CI/CD pipelines for version-controlled automation.
🔹 CMDB & Discovery Data Governance
- Strong expertise in CMDB data models (CI classes, relationships, normalization).
- Handle on-prem infrastructure data lifecycle.
- Integrate discovery tools like:
- Zabbix
- NetBox
- Ensure reconciliation and high data accuracy (>95%).
- Build automated pipelines for discovery-to-CMDB synchronization.
🔹 REST API & ITSM Integration
- Design and develop REST API integrations with ITSM systems.
- Automate ticket creation and updates into Aedge application.
- Enable automated CI updates and service record synchronization.
- Implement secure authentication and error handling mechanisms.
🔹 Agile Leadership & Sprint Management
- Lead automation initiatives using Agile methodology.
- Plan, manage, and execute sprint cycles effectively.
- Own end-to-end sprint lifecycle:
- Requirement grooming
- Task breakdown
- Assignment
- Development oversight
- Testing & deployment
- Sprint review & retrospective
- Ensure predictable delivery and high team velocity.
- Mentor and guide team members across automation and CMDB domains.
- Maintain transparency using sprint metrics, burndown charts, and KPIs.
🔹 Service Delivery & Team Leadership
- Manage L1 & L2 infrastructure teams.
- Ensure SLA adherence and continuous service improvement.
- Act as escalation point for automation, CMDB, and integration issues.
- Drive cultural transformation towards automation-first mindset.
