Job Description:
Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Irving, TX (3 days onsite in a week)
Work Type: Contract to Hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Lightspeed, and related DevOps tools.
- Manage and support build, release, and deployment processes across multiple environments.
- Monitor build and deployment health, troubleshoot failures, and proactively resolve issues.
- Take ownership of release management processes and continuously improve delivery efficiency.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployments and environment stability.
- Automate build, deployment, and configuration management tasks where possible.
- Support on-premises environments while assisting with the organization’s gradual cloud transition.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation using tools such as Ansible, Bash, or Python.
- Maintain version control and deployment documentation.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to team members when needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or Senior DevOps Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools and automation processes.
- Experience with GitHub, build/deployment pipelines, and release management.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience managing multiple environments for development, testing, and production.
- Scripting experience with Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive mindset.
- Ability to take ownership and independently drive initiatives forward.
