Company Description
Nexo is a financial operating system that helps small and medium-sized businesses gain clearer visibility and control over their spending. The platform is designed to integrate seamlessly with existing financial systems, making adoption straightforward and efficient. By bridging raw transaction data with actionable insights, Nexo enables smarter, data-driven financial decisions. This approach helps SMBs deliver a modern, streamlined experience for both sellers and buyers while optimizing internal financial operations.
About the Role
You'll work alongside our engineering teams to design, automate, and optimize our CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and observability stack. Beyond hands-on implementation, you'll act as an advisor — establishing best practices, mentoring internal engineers, and setting us up for self-sufficiency after the engagement.
What You'll Do
- Assess the current state of our infrastructure, deployment processes, and tooling, and deliver a prioritized roadmap.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines that improve deployment speed, reliability, and rollback safety.
- Build and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) for reproducible, scalable environments.
- Implement observability — monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing — for proactive incident detection.
- Strengthen security and compliance posture across the deployment lifecycle (secrets management, access controls, scanning).
- Optimize cloud cost and performance.
- Document processes and mentor internal engineers to ensure knowledge transfer.
What You'll Bring (Must-Haves)
- 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, including consulting or contract delivery.
- Deep expertise with at least one major cloud provider ([AWS / Azure / GCP]).
- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or Ansible).
- Containerization and orchestration expertise (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Scripting/automation skills (Bash, Python, or Go).
- Experience with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or similar).
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and deliver against a defined scope.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in regulated or [fintech] environments with stringent security/compliance requirements.
- Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP, CKA/CKAD, HashiCorp).
- GitOps experience (ArgoCD, Flux).
- Background mentoring or upskilling internal teams.
