About Zopper
Zopper is a series D-funded startup in the insurtech space. We enable large B2C businesses to offer insurance to their customers. We do this by fusing insurance and technology seamlessly to provide end-to-end solutions to our Business partners. Based on the need of Business Partner, we create the Product i.e. customised insurance plans by partnering with Insurance companies. We then integrate these customised Insurance plans with the tech systems of the Business partners by creating customised APIs on our SAAS platform.
Role Review
We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in AWS Cloud, containerization, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure monitoring. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in designing, deploying, automating, and managing cloud-native applications while ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilties
Cloud Infrastructure Management
● Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure
● Manage and optimize AWS services including
EC2
RDS
S3
VPC
ECS
EKS
CloudWatch
ElastiCache
Bedrock
Lambda
● Implement cloud security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
● Monitor cloud resource utilization and recommend optimization strategies.
Linux Administration
● Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based servers in production environments.
● Automate routine operational tasks using shell scripting.
Containerization & Orchestration
- Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker
- Manage and troubleshoot container orchestration platforms such as
- Amazon
- ECSAmazon EKS (Kubernetes)
- Implement container security and image management best practices.
CI/CD & Automation
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
- Automate application build, test, deployment, and rollback processes
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment efficiency and release quality.
Monitoring & Observability
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.

- Graylog
- Amazon CloudWatch
Analyze system performance and proactively resolve infrastructure issues.
Cost Optimization & Governance
- Monitor AWS resource utilization and identify cost-saving opportunitities
- Implement cloud cost optimization strategies for compute, storage, and networking resources.
- Prepare utilization reports and recommend architectural improvements to reduce operational expenses
Required Skills and Qualifications
Mandatory Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Expertise in Linux system administration.
- Experience with Docker containerization
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
- Experience managing workloads on ECS and/ or EKS.
- Knowledge of networking concepts including VPC, subnets, security groups, route tables, NAT Gateway, and Load Balancers
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Zabbix, Graylog, and CloudWatch.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Cloud Forrmation).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and administartion
- Familiarity with AWS Bedrock and Generative AI workloads
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and version control systems
- Understanding of security best practices and DevSecOps principles.
- Experience with disaster recovery, backup strategies, and high-availability architectures.
