Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role requires deep technical expertise in AWS architecture, cloud migration strategies, infrastructure modernization, security, compliance, and cost optimization.
The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic advisor and technical leader responsible for transforming legacy applications into scalable, secure, and cloud-native environments while aligning cloud initiatives with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Strategy & Architecture
- Design scalable, resilient, highly available AWS cloud architectures.
- Lead cloud transformation and migration initiatives for enterprise applications and data platforms.
- Develop cloud adoption frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Architect containerized and serverless solutions using modern AWS services.
- Define enterprise cloud roadmaps and governance models.
Security, Compliance & Governance
- Implement secure cloud landing zones using AWS Control Tower and AWS Organizations.
- Design IAM strategies and enforce least-privilege access controls.
- Architect secure networking solutions including VPCs, Transit Gateways, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST, GDPR, and enterprise security standards.
- Implement encryption and key management solutions using AWS KMS and CloudHSM.
Cloud Operations & FinOps
- Conduct AWS Well-Architected reviews and cloud optimization initiatives.
- Monitor cloud utilization and optimize infrastructure costs.
- Design high-performance auto-scaling and disaster recovery strategies.
- Optimize application delivery using CloudFront and Global Accelerator.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with engineering, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams.
- Mentor technical teams on AWS best practices and cloud-native technologies.
- Present technical strategies and cloud roadmaps to executives and stakeholders.
- Drive architectural governance and technical decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of IT infrastructure/cloud architecture experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS architecture experience.
- Strong expertise with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, Route 53, CloudFront, and Control Tower.
- Experience with cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, disaster recovery, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience implementing enterprise security and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
