About The Position
As the Principal DevOps Engineer, you are the master architect of our engineering velocity. You won t just be "managing servers"; you will be designing the very foundation upon which our entire product ecosystem sits. Your goal is to build a "Golden Path" for our developers providing seamless, automated, and high-performance platform that turns complex infrastructure into a self-service utility.

Key Responsibilities
- Platform Orchestration: Architect and maintain our production-grade Kubernetes clusters using Terraform and Terragrunt. You are responsible for the lifecycle of our compute environments.
- Release Strategy: Design and implement sophisticated deployment patterns (Blue/Green, Canary, Feature Flags) to ensure zero-downtime releases across a microservices architecture.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Standardize our multi-cloud/hybrid infrastructure. If it isn't in code, it doesn't exist. You will ensure our IaC is modular, tested, and scalable.
- CI/CD Leadership: Optimize our GitHub Actions/GitLab CI pipelines to reduce build times and increase developer feedback loops. You ll own the "Code Governance" strategy, ensuring branch protection and automated compliance.
- Performance & Observability: Partner with Performance Engineering to integrate automated benchmarking into the pipeline. Build comprehensive telemetry using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/Datadog.
- FinOps & Efficiency: Monitor and optimize infrastructure spend. You will be expected to architect solutions that are both high-performing and cost-efficient.
- Mentorship: Act as a force multiplier. You will set the technical standards for the DevOps team and provide high-level guidance to software engineering squads.
Skill Set
- Orchestration: Deep, "under-the-hood" expertise in Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS) and service meshes (Istio/Linkerd).
- Provisioning: Expert-level mastery of Terraform. Experience with Pulumi or Crossplane is a plus.
- Automation: Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for building custom platform tooling. CI/CD: Advanced knowledge of GitHub Enterprise, including Actions, Runners, and API-driven automation.
- Cloud Providers: Strong experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
- Security: Experience implementing DevSecOps practices (Secret management via Vault, image scanning, OPA/Kyverno).
Expected Rampup
Month 1: You have audited our current Terraform modules and established a roadmap for a unified, multi-region Kubernetes deployment strategy.
Month 3: You have reduced "Time to Production" for new services by 40% through the implementation of standardized CI/CD templates and self-service infra provisioning. Release cadence is bi-weekly.
Month 6: Our platform is a competitive advantage. Developers can deploy with confidence, our infrastructure costs are optimized, and our system reliability (SLAs) is at an all-time high. Release cadence is weekly.
