Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to support and enhance our cloud infrastructure and deployment processes. This is a hands-on role focused on automation, Kubernetes-based deployments (GKE), and maintaining scalable, secure environments. The ideal candidate should have experience working in structured environments and participating in information security and compliance activities.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
· Deploy and manage containerized applications on Kubernetes (GKE preferred)
· Support infrastructure provisioning and automation using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform)
· Write and maintain scripts using Shell (Bash) and Python for automation and operational tasks
· Monitor system health, logs, and performance using standard monitoring/logging tools
· Troubleshoot deployment issues and production incidents in a timely manner
· Work closely with development teams to streamline release processes and improve deployment efficiency
· Assist in implementing and maintaining secure cloud practices across environments
· Participate in information security audits, ensuring compliance with policies and standards
· Support vulnerability remediation, patching, and implementation of security controls
· Document processes, configurations, and deployment procedures
· Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps practices and tools
Required Skills & Qualifications
· 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering
· Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
· Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
· Strong scripting skills in Bash/Shell and working knowledge of Python
· Understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration
· Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
· Basic understanding of cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
· Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana)
· Experience participating in information security audits or compliance processes (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2)
· Good understanding of networking, Linux systems, and security fundamentals
· Must have ability to build and deploy system infrastructure in a cloud-focused environment while providing operational advice to developers when appropriate.
· Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, Routing, HA & Load Balancing
· Strong understanding of core networking concepts such as DNS, TCP/IP, routing, high availability architectures, and load balancing mechanism
Good to Have
· Exposure to Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, or other GCP services
· Experience with security tools (vulnerability scanners, IAM, secrets management)
· Knowledge of GitOps practices
· Awareness of DevSecOps principles
· Understand the complete deployment life cycle from design, build, test and deploy stages
· Certificate couse in Cloud Platforms like Google.
