Role Description The Associate DevOps Engineer role is a full-time remote position responsible for supporting and enhancing cloud-based infrastructure and delivery pipelines. Day-to-day work includes assisting in the design and implementation of Infrastructure as Code, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with development teams to improve deployment processes. The role involves monitoring system performance, troubleshooting environment issues, and performing routine system administration tasks on Linux-based systems. The Associate DevOps Engineer will work closely with senior engineers to implement best practices for security, reliability, and scalability across multi-cloud environments, while documenting configurations and processes to ensure consistent operations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, with experience using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
- Candidates should possess Software Development skills, including scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash, Go, or similar) to automate tasks and support DevOps workflows.
- Candidates should possess Continuous Integration experience, including working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Candidates should possess System Administration and Linux skills, including managing servers, monitoring resources, and troubleshooting production issues in cloud environments.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and an understanding of security best practices in DevOps.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, along with strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
