Hiring: DevOps Cloud Engineer | Hybrid (Herndon, VA)
I'm currently partnering with an innovative technology company that's looking to add a DevOps Cloud Engineer to its growing engineering team. Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure that supports production applications.
- Develop and enhance deployment pipelines and automation to improve software delivery.
- Manage containerized workloads and help ensure highly available, scalable environments.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor production environments, troubleshoot issues, and implement long-term improvements.
- Contribute to infrastructure standards and DevOps best practices across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
- Strong experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar.
- Experience supporting applications developed with Node.js or another object-oriented programming language such as Java, Python, or Go.
- Familiarity with Docker, SQL, and Git-based version control.
- A passion for automation, continuous improvement, and building reliable, scalable cloud platforms.
Location: Herndon, VA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
Compensation: $125,000–$165,000 base salary + an 8% target bonus, with the opportunity to earn up to 16% based on performance.
Relocation Assistance: Available for candidates outside of Virginia who are open to relocating.
