Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, containerization, monitoring, and cloud security. The candidate should be comfortable working in an Agile environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support cloud-native applications and enterprise infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Provision and manage AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Route 53, ELB/ALB, Auto Scaling, ECS/EKS, and API Gateway.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Build, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Configure and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes (EKS) environments.
- Monitor cloud resources using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, and third-party monitoring tools.
- Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, secrets management, and network security.
- Perform cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, backups, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application deployment issues.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, architects, and security teams to optimize cloud environments.
- Optimize AWS infrastructure for performance, scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Participate in production deployments, incident response, and on-call support when required.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Engineering or DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of core AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Route 53, Auto Scaling, ELB/ALB, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, and CloudFront.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK).
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS preferred).
- Strong understanding of Linux system administration and shell scripting (Bash/Python).
- Experience with Git and version control best practices.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, Load Balancers, NAT Gateway, and Security Groups.
- Experience implementing AWS security best practices, including IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, WAF, and GuardDuty.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
