This role requires regular collaboration with both technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders to ensure reliable, compliant hybrid cloud operations.
Responsibilities:
- Build, deploy, and maintain automated release pipelines to migrate core banking applications from on-premises environments into Microsoft Azure.
- Configure, provision, and support scalable and highly available core infrastructure within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
- Document cloud architecture standards, landing zone designs, configuration frameworks, and operational runbooks for hybrid environments.
- Coordinate with non-technical business stakeholders to explain complex cloud concepts and align infrastructure changes with business requirements.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management workflows using Infrastructure as Code tools to maintain a consistent state management.
- Collaborate with internal security, risk, and compliance teams to align all cloud designs with financial regulatory and governance frameworks.
- Implement unified cloud monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to ensure end-to-end visibility and operational reliability.
- Analyze resource consumption to optimize cloud infrastructure performance and identify cost-saving efficiencies.
- Evaluate legacy workloads to determine the optimal hosting model between cloud platforms and on-premises retention.
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of professional engineering experience focused directly on Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud deployments.
- Proven experience building, configuring, and supporting automated CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.
- Hands-on experience writing and managing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Proficient in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or BASH.
- Strong working knowledge of core cloud networking, identity management (Active Directory/Entra ID), and cloud security controls.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate technical cloud concepts clearly to non-technical business stakeholders and application owners.
Preferred Experience:
- Practical experience managing and maintaining on-premises VMware environments.
- Hands-on experience with multi-cloud environments, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) and Microsoft 365 (M365) environments.
