Key Responsibilities:
• Backend Development & System Engineering:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask
- Build robust, secure, and high-performance microservices and distributed systems
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and backend workflows for scalability and reliability
- Integrate third-party services, payment gateways, analytics tools, and external APIs
• Frontend & Mobile Application Development:
- Develop responsive and user-friendly web and mobile applications using JavaScript and Flutter
- Build reusable frontend components and scalable UI architectures
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to deliver seamless customer experiences across platforms
- Ensure application responsiveness, performance optimization, and cross-platform compatibility
• Cloud, Infrastructure & Database Management:
- Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis for efficient data handling and caching
- Deploy, manage, and monitor applications on AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and related cloud infrastructure
- Contribute to architecture discussions, technical planning, and scalability improvements
- Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and engineering best practices
• Collaboration & Product Execution:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, QA, and Operations to deliver high-quality product features
- Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, code reviews, and release cycles
- Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code
- Troubleshoot production issues, debug applications, and ensure timely issue resolution
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and software engineering practices
Requirements:
• Experience:
- Experience building scalable web or mobile applications in startup or product-based environments is preferred
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and collaborative engineering workflows
- Exposure to healthcare, consumer tech, marketplace, or high-growth startup ecosystems is a plus
• Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask
- Good understanding of JavaScript and modern frontend development concepts
- Experience with Flutter for cross-platform mobile application development
- Working knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming concepts
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and API integrations
- Understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, asynchronous processing, and scalable system design
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services, deployment workflows, and monitoring tools
- Knowledge of Git, version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and debugging practices
• Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
