We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to build and own the infrastructure and deployment pipelines that keep OMS running reliably for accredited labs across India and Australia. Downtime during a client's NABL assessment window isn't an option. You'll work with the engineering team to automate everything from CI/CD to monitoring, and ensure the platform scales as we grow into new markets.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for OMS backend and frontend services
- Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP — provisioning, scaling, cost optimisation, and security hardening
- Implement and maintain container orchestration using Kubernetes or ECS
- Set up and own monitoring, alerting, and incident response — ensure the team knows about issues before clients do
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or equivalent IaC tools
- Manage database reliability — backups, failover, replication, and performance tuning
- Work with engineering leads on release management, blue-green deployments, and rollback procedures
- Ensure environment parity across development, staging, and production
Requirements
- 3–5 years of DevOps or platform engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP — EC2/ECS or GKE, RDS, S3, CloudWatch or equivalent
- Strong CI/CD pipeline experience — Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
- Proficiency with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS)
- Infrastructure-as-code experience — Terraform or AWS CDK preferred
- Experience with monitoring and alerting — Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar
- Solid Linux administration and bash scripting skills
- Familiarity with database administration (MySQL / PostgreSQL) in production environments
