How You’ll Contribute
- Build, configure, and optimize Azure Virtual Machines and supporting computer infrastructure, including Azure PaaS services for hosting and managing modern web applications.
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure Virtual Networks, including routing, segmentation, and network security controls.
- Apply strong security and identity management practices across Azure resources, including RBAC, managed identities, and conditional access.
- Manage Azure Storage solutions and backup strategies to ensure resilience, data protection, and efficient lifecycle management.
- Implement, tune, and maintain firewall policies, DDoS Protection, and Web Application Firewall configurations for secure cloud operations.
- Lead and support cloud migration efforts, ensuring smooth transitions of workloads, systems, and services into Azure with minimal downtime.
How You’re Qualified
- Nine or more years of experience in designing and/or operating networks or relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in information technology, computer science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
How You’ll Stand Out
- Demonstrated expertise building, migrating, and maintaining Azure PaaS environments, including Virtual Machines, VNETs, firewalls, backups, and identity/security controls.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure PaaS services supporting web applications, ensuring resilient, scalable, and secure deployments.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize cloud network architectures, including routing, subnetting, VPNs, WAF, and DDoS protection.
- Solid background in cloud governance, infrastructure design, and solution architecture—capable of driving projects with minimal supervision.
- Clear communication and documentation skills, enabling effective cross-team collaboration with engineering, security, and application teams.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to contribute immediately, quickly adapt to complex environments, and deliver reliable cloud solutions.
