Job Title: DevOps Engineer / Senior DevOps / Lead DevOps

Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer (Mid to Lead Level) to design, build, and optimize our platform infrastructure. In this role, you will lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives, design high-availability Kubernetes strategies, drive automation, and mentor fellow engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, implement, and manage IaC solutions using Crossplane, Terraform, and Helm Charts to provision and manage cloud resources (Must-Have requirement).
- Architecture & Delivery: Collaborate with product managers, developers, QA, and InfoSec to define platform requirements, scope priorities, and streamline software delivery for high-quality releases.
- Fleet Management & Zero Downtime: Design and execute zero-downtime maintenance and upgrade strategies for fleets of Kubernetes clusters and multi-cloud environments.
- System Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of platform tools and infrastructure.
- Automation & Toil Reduction: Eliminate repetitive manual tasks through modern automation tools, AI integrations, and agentic workflows.
- Security & Compliance: Partner with InfoSec to seamlessly integrate security controls, compliance standards, and continuous vulnerability monitoring into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a force multiplier by guiding development teams on platform integration, best practices, and modern methodologies. Mentor junior platform engineers to foster technical growth.
- Documentation & Operations: Maintain detailed technical designs, runbooks, and architecture diagrams. Participate in a 12-hour on-call rotation to ensure uptime and incident response.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer or Platform Engineer, with a strong background in software development and operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- IaC & Management Tools: Deep proficiency with declarative infrastructure tools like Terraform, Crossplane, or CloudFormation.
- Containers & Orchestration: Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes ecosystem management.
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience architecting and managing solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- CI/CD: Proficiency in building and maintaining pipelines using modern tools such as ArgoCD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Scripting & Development: Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or Bash.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, troubleshooting acumen, and communication skills across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Observability: Experience configuring and maintaining Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
- Cloud Security: Practical knowledge of cloud security standards, IAM frameworks, and compliance policies.
- Methodologies: Experience working in fast-paced Agile environment with a track record of driving process improvements.
