Position Summary
We are seeking a Platform / DevOps Engineer to help design, build, and operate an enterprise Software Delivery Platform that enables secure, standardized, and scalable software delivery across multiple applications. The engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and operating an enterprise Software Delivery Platform that provides automated CI/CD capabilities, integrated security and compliance controls, automated governance processes, and a consistent, scalable software delivery experience for application teams. The platform integrates with enterprise systems including GitHub, Jira, Change Management, JFrog, SonarQube, and security tooling. The platform aims to deliver secure, governed, scalable, and highly automated software delivery capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Engineering
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise CI/CD platform capabilities.
- Create and support reusable GitHub Actions workflows (CI/CD pipelines).
- Develop and maintain standardized deployment patterns and release processes.
- Define and maintain platform governance standards and engineering best practices.
Security & Compliance
- Integrate and operationalize GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS), SonarQube, and JFrog Xray within software development and delivery workflows.
- Implement security gates, policy enforcement, and automated compliance controls.
- Partner with security and compliance teams to embed security into the software delivery lifecycle.
Automation & Integration
- Integrate the platform with Jira, Change Management systems, and enterprise governance processes.
- Develop automation for release approvals, CAB workflows, change-request updates, and deployment governance.
- Automate compliance reporting, evidence generation, and audit reporting processes.
- Create APIs, automation scripts, and workflows that improve platform efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Reliability & Operations
- Build deployment recovery, rollback, and resilience capabilities.
- Implement push-button and automated rollback solutions.
- Maintain deployment history, version recovery, and operational support tooling.
- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, observability, and operational excellence.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
Metrics & Reporting
- Develop platform dashboards and operational metrics.
- Implement DORA metrics and engineering performance reporting.
- Build security posture, compliance, adoption, and delivery effectiveness dashboards.
- Provide actionable insights to engineering leadership and stakeholders.
Platform Adoption & Enablement
- Support onboarding of application teams to platform standards.
- Develop documentation, training materials, onboarding guides, and certification processes.
- Consult with development teams to improve software delivery practices.
- Champion DevOps, platform engineering, and automation principles across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Software Development, Programming or related disciplines.
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and Git workflows.
- Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle management.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
