Key Responsibilities
- AWS cloud infrastructure management
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Administer AWS services including Amazon EKS, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, and related networking components.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
- CI/CD & GitHub actions
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated build, test, deployment, and release processes.
- Develop reusable GitHub Actions workflows, manage secrets, environments, approvals, and deployment strategies.
- Implement deployment methodologies such as Blue/Green, Canary, and Rolling deployments to minimize production downtime.
- Infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure modules for networking, compute, storage, databases, and security components.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Containers & Kubernetes
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).
- Configure Kubernetes workloads, services, ingress controllers, autoscaling, and cluster networking.
- Support deployment and operations of modern Node.js applications in containerized environments.
- Security & compliance
- Implement cloud security best practices, IAM policies, least-privilege access, encryption, and secrets management.
- Design infrastructure aligned with security and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, GovRAMP, and SOC 2.
- Perform vulnerability management, security reviews, and infrastructure hardening.
- Automation & scripting
- Automate cloud operations and deployment processes using Bash, PowerShell, Python, and AWS CLI.
- Develop reusable automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, maintenance, and operational tasks.
- Monitoring & observability
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability using CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic.
- Monitor infrastructure and application health, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize system performance.
- Establish proactive alerting and incident response mechanisms.
- Cloud operations & optimization
- Manage AWS environments, cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and production support.
- Continuously optimize infrastructure for scalability, availability, security, and operational excellence.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery best practices are implemented.
- Collaboration & documentation
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and production-ready cloud solutions.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Drive continuous improvements across cloud architecture, automation, deployment workflows, and DevOps best practices.
