About the Role
We are seeking a Lead DevSecOps Engineer to provide technical leadership and drive the strategic integration of security into development and operations workflows. Combining hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, you will mentor an engineering team, design robust security controls, and advocate for DevSecOps best practices across the organization.
About The Team
The Cyber Security Platform (CISO) team builds, secures, and runs the infrastructure and automated pipelines powering our core product lines. We handle the full integration of DevSecOps—from high-throughput CI/CD pipelines to infrastructure-as-code deployments, zero-downtime upgrades, security monitoring, and multi-environment resilience.
What You’ll Do
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and provide design and code guidance to a team of 4–6 engineers.
- Stakeholder & Security Advocacy: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and security teams to promote DevSecOps adoption across the business.
- Pipeline & IaC Architecture: Architect secure Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and direct the implementation of secure IaC using Terraform.
- Policy & Security Strategy: Enforce Policy as Code (OPA) and oversee integrated security scanning (SAST, DAST, SCA) and vulnerability management strategies.
- Containers & GitOps Orchestration: Manage container security for Docker/Kubernetes and design GitOps deployment workflows (FluxCD, Helm, Kustomize).
- Platform Hardening: Lead security assessments, penetration testing remediations, and continuous process improvements.
What You’ll Need
- Experience: 5+ years of practical DevSecOps experience, coupled with proven experience leading engineering teams.
- Mindset: Software engineering background with strong leadership, cross-functional influence, and a security-first approach.
- Cloud & IaC Mastery: Deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure, PaaS solutions, APIs, and Terraform.
- CI/CD & Containers: Strong experience with Azure DevOps/VSTS, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitOps tooling (FluxCD, Helm, Kustomize).
- Scripting: Advanced proficiency in PowerShell, Shell, and Python.
- Leadership & Communication: Outstanding mentoring, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
