JD:
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Cloud Observability Lead to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in setting up observability in multi-cloud environments, specifically Azure, AWS, and GCP.
The role requires a strong understanding of observability services and best practices, as well as the ability to lead a team and drive successful initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive observability strategies across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.
Utilize and integrate observability services such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics Workspace, AWS CloudWatch, Google Stackdriver, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Develop and deploy IaC solutions for observability using Terraform.
Ensure scalable and reliable implementation of observability tools and practices
Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate observability within CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
Streamline deployment processes and optimize resource allocation.
Lead and mentor a team of observability engineers, driving performance and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Define and promote cloud observability best practices, including metrics, logs, events, traces, distributed tracing, and synthetic monitoring.
Continuously assess and enhance the observability framework to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Work with cloud-native services such as Kubernetes clusters, load balancers, application gateways, logic apps, managed databases, key vaults, and storage accounts.
Ensure observability solutions are aligned with architectural and compliance standards.
Good hands on the log querying capabilities in different cloud environments.
(KQL, LQL, SQL)
Must Jave skills:
8-10 years of experience in cloud observability and operations.
Proficiency in multi-cloud environments: Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Expertise in observability services and tools: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, CloudWatch, Stackdriver, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Strong experience with Terraform for IaC deployments.
Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
Familiarity with observability concepts like metrics, logs, events, traces, distributed tracing, and synthetic monitoring, alerts, dashboards.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Good to have skills: -
Experience on any other enterprise observability tools like Dynatrace, new relic, Datadog etc.
Experience in Python, shell scripting.
Experience in automation of the cloud services.
