Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Azure Engineer with strong experience in Azure networking, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and secure government cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Azure networking including VNets, Subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, and routing.
- Manage secure connectivity between Azure and on-premises environments.
- Support Azure IL5/IL6 environments and hybrid cloud integrations.
- Build and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell or Ansible.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Azure infrastructure using Azure Monitor.
- Support system migrations, VM provisioning, patching, and infrastructure security.
- Apply DISA STIGs and security hardening requirements.
- Work with architects, system administrators, and technical teams to resolve Azure networking and infrastructure issues.
- Support secure CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
Required Skills
- 9–10+ years of related IT/Cloud Engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Azure IL5/IL6 environments.
- Strong Azure networking experience.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform/Bicep and Azure DevOps.
- Strong PowerShell or Ansible scripting skills.
- Experience with Azure Active Directory and Azure Monitor.
- Experience with ExpressRoute, VPN, VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, and Load Balancing.
- Understanding of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with security hardening and DISA STIGs.
- CompTIA Security+ certification required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or related field preferred.
Clearance & Location
- Active Secret Clearance is mandatory.
- US Citizenship required.
- Hybrid role in Washington, DC – minimum 3 days onsite per week.
- Federal/Government experience is preferred.
