Senior AWS Cloud & DevOps Architect
Job Location- Chennai
Desired Experience
- Minimum 16+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Architecture, Solution Design, and DevOps practices.
- Proven experience in architecting, designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-scale cloud solutions and DevOps transformations.
Qualifications & Required Skill Sets
Cloud Architecture & AWS Expertise
- Strong proficiency in designing and implementing secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available AWS cloud architectures aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Extensive hands-on experience with core AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, EBS, Lambda, IAM, KMS, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and related services.
- Experience in defining, governing, and enforcing cloud architecture standards, best practices, design patterns, and compliance frameworks across AWS environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, performance optimization, reliability engineering, and cost optimization strategies.
- Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud architectures, cloud migration programs, legacy application modernization, and workload transitions to AWS.
DevOps & Automation
- Strong expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, DevOps frameworks, and release automation processes using GitLab and industry-standard DevOps practices.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing end-to-end DevOps pipelines, including automated build, test, deployment, and monitoring workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and deployment automation strategies.
Containerization & Kubernetes
- Deep expertise in containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.
- Proven experience in deploying, scaling, securing, and managing containerized applications in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of microservices and container-based architecture patterns.
Application Development & Serverless Computing
- Experience in cloud-native application development using Java, .NET, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with serverless architectures leveraging AWS Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and related AWS services.
- Ability to guide application teams in designing modern, cloud-native solutions.
Monitoring, Observability & Operations
- Hands-on production support experience with AWS observability and monitoring services, including:
- CloudWatch Alarms
- CloudWatch Logs
- CloudTrail
- VPC Flow Logs
- ECS/EKS Enhanced Monitoring
- Strong experience serving as a technical escalation point for complex production incidents, critical troubleshooting, and architectural decision-making.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience in mentoring, coaching, and enabling cloud, engineering, and DevOps teams.
- Experience leading technical teams and driving cloud adoption, DevOps maturity, and architectural governance initiatives.
- Strong collaboration skills with application development, security, infrastructure, and network teams to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
Certifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) - Mandatory
- Additional AWS, Kubernetes, or DevOps certifications will be an added advantage.
