About the role:
We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure,
Kubernetes (Amazon EKS), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt). The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments while building robust CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure.
Responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and manage production-grade AWS infrastructure.
• Provision and manage infrastructure in AWS Control Tower and AWS Organizations multi-account
environments.
• Create, upgrade, and maintain Amazon EKS clusters.
• Provision infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Deploy and manage applications using Helm.
• Configure Kubernetes autoscaling using Karpenter and Horizontal/Vertical Pod Autoscalers.
• Manage AWS networking components, including ALB/NLB, VPC, Transit Gateway, NAT Gateway, Route
53, and Route 53 Resolver.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and the
EFK Stack.
• Ensure infrastructure security, scalability, availability, governance, and cost optimization.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and AI/ML teams to support cloud-native applications.
Required Skills
• AWS: Strong experience with EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, Route 53, ALB/NLB, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch,
networking, and working within AWS Control Tower and AWS Organizations multi-account
environments.
• AWS Governance: Experience with account provisioning, cross-account IAM roles, Service Control
Policies (SCPs), centralized networking, and landing zone best practices.
• Kubernetes: Cluster administration, networking, RBAC, Ingress, storage, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Containers: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Kubernetes Ecosystem: Helm, Karpenter, Metrics Server, AWS Load Balancer Controller, ExternalDNS,
and cert-manager.
• Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, and EFK Stack.
• CI/CD: Experience with Azure DevOps, AWS Code Commit, Code Deploy, Github Action, GitLab CI/CD,
Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Linux & Scripting: Strong Linux administration and Bash scripting.
• MLOps (Preferred): Exposure to Kubeflow, MLflow, model deployment on Kubernetes, AWS
SageMaker, GPU workloads, or AI infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions
Architect – Professional, or AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty.
• Experience with Kubernetes security, container image scanning, and secrets management tools.
• Working knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio
• Experience supporting AI/ML platforms, GPU-enabled Kubernetes clusters, and MLOps workflows.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, disaster recovery, backup strategies, and FinOps/cost
optimization best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and driving DevOps best practices across engineering teams.
