Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Linux, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and container technologies.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, automating, deploying, monitoring, and supporting highly available cloud-native platforms and applications across AWS, Kubernetes, and OpenShift environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, configure, and maintain infrastructure on AWS Cloud.
- Manage and support Kubernetes clusters, including cluster upgrades, node management, workloads, networking, RBAC, storage, and troubleshooting.
- Administer and support Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environments.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Create and maintain Kubernetes resources such as Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress, Jobs, and CronJobs.
- Work with OpenShift CLI (oc) and Kubernetes CLI (kubectl) for deployment and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and configuration management using Ansible.
- Automate infrastructure and application deployment using Shell/Bash and Python scripting.
- Manage AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EBS, ELB/ALB, Auto Scaling, Route 53, CloudWatch, ECR, and RDS.
- Configure and troubleshoot Linux servers, primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Perform Linux administration, system troubleshooting, patching, process management, filesystem management, networking, and security hardening.
- Implement Kubernetes/OpenShift networking, ingress/routes, service discovery, network policies, and load balancing.
- Manage container images and registries such as AWS ECR, Docker Registry, and OpenShift Image Registry.
- Work with Helm charts for Kubernetes/OpenShift application deployments.
- Implement GitOps practices using tools such as Argo CD/OpenShift GitOps.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Splunk, or CloudWatch.
- Troubleshoot production issues across AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, OpenShift, networking, containers, and applications.
- Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, performance optimization, and disaster recovery activities.
- Implement security best practices including IAM, RBAC, secrets management, certificates, vulnerability management, and container security.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, security, infrastructure, and operations teams.
- Create technical documentation, deployment procedures, architecture documents, and operational runbooks.
