About the role
Stock Bazaar is a portfolio analytics and market intelligence platform for Indian retail investors. We're looking for a DevOps & QA Engineer comfortable wearing both hats — building and maintaining our AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, and owning the quality of what ships through them.
You'll sit at the intersection of delivery and reliability: automating deployments on one side, automating tests on the other, and stitching the two together so quality is enforced automatically on every release. We handle live market data and user portfolio information, so uptime and correctness are not negotiable.
This is a hands-on role in a small team. You'll own the pipeline end to end.
What you'll do
Infrastructure & delivery
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines automating build, test, and deployment
- Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code
- Containerise applications and manage orchestration across staging and production
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for system health and uptime
- Automate repetitive operational tasks through scripting
- Own source control workflows, branching strategy, and release process
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and environment issues across the stack
Quality
- Design, write, and maintain automated test suites (UI, API, integration)
- Integrate tests into CI/CD and enforce quality gates before release
- Build and execute test plans for new features and regression cycles
- Run functional, regression, API, and performance/load testing
- Set up clean, reproducible containerised test environments
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution with developers
- Champion shift-left testing and improve coverage continuously
What we're looking for
- 3–5 years across DevOps and QA/test automation
- AWS (hands-on): EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, Route 53
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI
- Containers: Docker (must-have), Kubernetes (working familiarity)
- IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Scripting: Bash and/or Python
- Test automation: Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- API testing: Postman, REST Assured, or similar
- Strong Git and branching workflow skills
- Solid grasp of SDLC, testing methodologies, and Agile/Scrum
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to have
- Performance/load testing (JMeter, k6, Gatling)
- Mobile test automation (Appium)
- BDD frameworks (Cucumber) and test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr)
- Observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)
- DevSecOps or security scanning exposure
- Experience with fintech, trading, or real-time data platforms
- Certifications: AWS, CKA, ISTQB
