We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to support and enhance a growing enterprise AWS environment. This position will focus on AWS platform governance, multi-account management, infrastructure automation, security controls, and cloud operations.
The engineer will help maintain the organization's AWS foundational services and governance framework while supporting application and development teams as they migrate and deploy workloads to AWS. This is a hands-on engineering position with a strong operational component and is not an AWS Architect role.
The ideal candidate has experience working within a multi-account enterprise AWS environment and can demonstrate hands-on experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, Landing Zones, Terraform, and cloud governance.

Responsibilities
- Manage and support AWS Organizations, account structures, and multi-account cloud environments.
- Support and maintain AWS Control Tower, Landing Zones, and account provisioning processes.
- Implement and manage Service Control Policies (SCPs), guardrails, tagging standards, and governance controls.
- Develop and maintain AWS Config rules and other cloud compliance controls.
- Write and maintain Terraform code to provision AWS infrastructure and cloud resources.
- Work with existing reusable Terraform modules and incorporate them into infrastructure deployments.
- Maintain GitHub Actions workflows used to automate Terraform and AWS deployments.
- Support automated AWS account and resource provisioning.
- Implement IAM best practices, least-privilege access, and cloud security controls.
- Maintain foundational AWS services including IAM, S3, CloudWatch, KMS, and VPC Endpoints.
- Troubleshoot AWS platform, infrastructure, and networking issues.
- Monitor cloud health, performance, security, compliance, and costs.
- Support application and development teams as they migrate and deploy workloads into AWS.
- Help establish appropriate cloud guardrails while allowing development teams to efficiently use AWS services.
- Support incident response and ongoing cloud operational improvements.
- Maintain technical documentation, standards, and platform procedures.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience supporting AWS cloud environments, ideally within a large enterprise.
- Experience managing AWS Organizations and AWS Control Tower.
- Hands-on experience with multi-account AWS environments and Landing Zones.
- Experience implementing AWS cloud governance, policies, guardrails, and compliance controls.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Config / AWS Config Rules.
- Strong experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code, including writing Terraform code and working with reusable modules.
- Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD automation used for infrastructure deployments.
- Experience with IAM / IAM Identity Center and AWS security best practices.
- Understanding of AWS networking concepts including VPCs, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, Security Groups, Flow Logs, AWS Firewall, and ELB.
- Experience with monitoring and operational services such as CloudWatch.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to clearly explain the AWS environments, governance controls, automation, and infrastructure solutions you have personally implemented and supported.
