Role Overview: This position involves designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The candidate will lead the development of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions, including networking, hybrid cloud integrations, data platforms, and AI/ML initiatives, utilizing tools like Terraform, BigQuery, Dataflow, and Vertex AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy GCP infrastructure following best practices for modularity and maintainability.
- Develop secure hybrid cloud integrations and network architectures, including NCC hub-and-spoke models.
- Build and support scalable data platforms and enable AI/ML projects using GCP services.
- Implement security controls, compliance policies, and automate resource provisioning with CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor platform performance, optimize costs, and ensure operational reliability.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior team members and foster continuous learning.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum three years of recent GCP or equivalent cloud systems experience.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience in cloud architecture design, infrastructure as code, data and analytics platforms, and container technologies like Kubernetes or Docker.
- Proficiency in scripting, Unix/Linux environments, and source code management systems such as GIT.
- Strong understanding of networking, security protocols, IAM/RBAC, and infrastructure hardening.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and work collaboratively.
Preferred Attributes: Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and developing highly available, scalable systems.
