Job Description: We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with 5 or more years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Linux systems, networking principles, and a passion for automation and scalability. Knowledge of Kubernetes, Azure, Kafka, Nginx, and PostgreSQL will be a significant advantage in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain automated deployment pipelines to ensure the rapid and reliable delivery of software.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
- Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters to support our growing infrastructure needs.
- Utilize Azure services for infrastructure provisioning, management, and monitoring.
- Implement and maintain Kafka clusters for real-time data processing and streaming applications.
- Configure and optimize Nginx for load balancing, reverse proxying, and SSL termination.
- Monitor system performance and reliability, implementing improvements as needed.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities for critical systems and services.
- Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role in a production environment.
- Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
- In-depth understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
- Experience managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters in a production environment.
- Proficiency with Azure services such as VMs, Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, and Azure Monitor.
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka, including setup, configuration, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Nginx configuration for web server optimization and security.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including installation, configuration, and administration.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Kubernetes, Redhat, networking, Azure, or other relevant technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker/podman/containerd.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- Understanding of security best practices and principles in cloud environments, including an ELK stack.
