Role Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in managing and automating AWS-based cloud infrastructure, application builds, and deployment pipelines in non-production and production environments.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CLI, and scripting languages (PowerShell/Shell) to automate infrastructure creation and management. You will be responsible for supporting build and deployment processes for Microsoft .NET, Node.js, and .NET Core applications and containerized environments. As a team player with strong communication skills, you will collaborate closely with internal development teams as well as Developers and Cloud Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities & Technical Skills:
AWS Infrastructure & Cloud Services
- Compute & Containers: Hands-on expertise with AWS EC2 (Windows & Linux), Elastic Beanstalk, ECS (Clusters, Services & Tasks), ECR (Repositories & Docker Containers), and knowledge of Amazon EKS (Kubernetes).
- Database Services: Experience with AWS MSSQL RDS, AWS Postgres RDS, Redshift Serverless Clusters.
- Storage & Content Delivery: Proficiency in AWS S3, CloudFront, and ElastiCache (Memcached & Redis).
- Networking & Security: In-depth understanding of AWS VPC (Public & Private Subnets, Network ACLs, Security Groups, VPNs, Elastic IPs), Load Balancers (ALB, NLB, CLB, Availability Zones, Health Checks, Target Groups), IAM (Groups, Users, Roles, Policies), and AWS KMS.
- Serverless & Integration: Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and SQS, SNS.
- Monitoring & Support: Analyzing logs, building dashboards, and setting alarms using AWS CloudWatch, along with leveraging AWS Support.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation
- Primary expertise in writing Terraform scripts for infrastructure provision and management.
- Proficiency in AWS CloudFormation and AWS CLI.
- Strong scripting capabilities using PowerShell and Shell for infrastructure automation tasks.
Application Build, CI/CD & Containerization
- Build & Deployment: Experience managing build and deployment processes for Microsoft .NET web applications using MSBuild and PowerShell scripts.
- Modern Web & Container App Support: Proficiency in building and deploying Angular, Node.js, and .NET Core applications and Docker containers using combined Shell and PowerShell deployment scripts.
- CI/CD Tooling (Jenkins & GitLab): Proven expertise in designing and managing end-to-end CI/CD workflows using Jenkins and GitLab. Skilled in creating declarative and scripted pipelines using Groovy, managing source code and branching strategies in GitLab, containerizing applications with Docker, and automating deployments across AWS EKS, ECS Fargate, and Elastic Beanstalk.
