Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Server Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Plesk/cPanel administration, DNS and hosting management, application installation (specifically PHP or Laravel), AWS (EC2 and RDS), and database management systems (DBMS). The Server Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Server Administration:
- Manage and maintain Plesk and cPanel servers.
- Perform regular updates, backups, and security patches.
- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
DNS and Hosting Management:
- Configure and manage DNS settings for various domains.
- Ensure reliable hosting services and uptime for all hosted websites and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve domain-related issues.
Application Installation and Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain applications based on PHP and Laravel.
- Manage application dependencies and updates.
- Ensure security and performance optimization for all applications.
AWS Management:
- Manage AWS EC2 instances and RDS databases.
- Perform regular backups, scaling, and monitoring of AWS services.
- Ensure cost optimization and efficient use of AWS resources.
Database Management:
- Administer various database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
- Perform regular database backups, recovery, and optimization.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and efficient database performance.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain security best practices for all servers and applications.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of server configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Provide regular reports on server performance, incidents, and resolutions.
Email/SMTP Administration:
• Configure and manage email servers and SMTP settings.
• Ensure email deliverability and monitor for spam issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve email-related issues.
Troubleshooting and Support:
• Troubleshoot server and application issues.
• Provide support and resolutions for server-related problems.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
Experience:
- Proven experience in server administration with a focus on Plesk and cPanel.
- Strong experience with DNS and hosting management.
- Hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel application installation and management.
- Solid experience with AWS services, specifically EC2 and RDS.
- Proficiency in managing DBMS such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
