Role Description
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the team, where you will be integral in establishing, monitoring, and managing our cloud platform and infrastructure. Your primary duties will include implementing security protocols and access controls, improving our CI/CD pipelines, developing scripts and tools for automation, and ensuring the high availability and security of both testing and production environments. The ideal candidate will be passionate about automating and building cloud infrastructure and will excel in a collaborative environment, working closely with developers, engineers, and the helpdesk.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, troubleshoot, and enhance the current cloud infrastructure.
- Implement and manage access controls for servers, databases, CI/CD tools, and scripts.
- Administer the monitoring system, configure dashboards and alerts for critical infrastructure resources and application performance.
- Strive to automate processes wherever feasible.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer engineering or equivalent qualification
- Passionate on new technologies and able to pick up new skills quickly
- Proficient with Linux operating system and scripting language (e.g. Python, bash)
- Good Network Knowledge, familiar with TCP/IP, HTTP protocol
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments, preferably Azure and AWS
- Expert in container orchestration systems, at least 2 years working experience in Kubernetes
- Familiar with logging and monitoring solutions, preferably Grafana and Prometheus
- Good knowledge on CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, Harbor)
- Proactive team worker with good communication skills
- Fairly good command of English (written & spoken) and Mandarin (spoken)
