Your Impact
As a DevOps Professional specializing in GitLab and GCP, you’ll play a key role in refining our release processes and boosting deployment efficiency. Your role will ensure that our software releases are seamless, maintain high-quality standards, and contribute to the performance and reliability of our SaaS products. By optimizing release strategies and collaborating with development and operations teams, you’ll drive innovation and support our mission to deliver exceptional solutions to our clients.
What You'll Do
- Manage and optimize deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) within a SaaS framework.
- Oversee the release process on Google Cloud Platform from staging to production, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal service disruptions.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline build and release processes, integrating feedback to enhance efficiency.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform for automating cloud infrastructure deployments on GCP.
- Monitor release metrics and troubleshoot issues to uphold high-quality standards and service reliability.
- Automate repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention in a GCP-based SaaS environment.
- Develop and maintain documentation for release processes, deployment procedures, and configuration settings.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve our release strategies.
You'll Thrive If You Have
- Proven experience in a DevOps role focused on GitLab CI/CD and Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of deployment automation tools and practices (e.g., GitLab CI, GCP Deployment Manager, Jenkins).
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform, for managing cloud infrastructure on GCP.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) used in SaaS environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and configuration management.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Architect or Kubernetes Administrator are a plus.
