We are seeking a talented professional with a strong passion for automation, cloud technologies, and modern development practices. This role requires expertise in automating processes, cloud infrastructure management, and experience in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD). Ideal candidates will have a solid foundation in Linux, security practices, and a deep understanding of AWS services. You’ll be part of a dynamic team where you’ll help shape and improve cloud infrastructure and drive innovation through automation.
Key Skills
- Automation: A strong passion for automating tasks is essential. You'll be expected to leverage tools such as CDK, CloudFormation, and Terraform to build, manage, and maintain scalable infrastructure. Automating repeatable processes will be a key responsibility in this role, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- CI/CD: Proficiency in continuous integration and deployment tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins is crucial. You'll design and implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development process and enable rapid iteration. Experience in managing these pipelines will help ensure smooth transitions from code development to deployment.
- Monitoring: A solid understanding of monitoring tools and frameworks, such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana, is required. You’ll be responsible for setting up monitoring solutions that ensure system performance, health, and reliability, providing real-time data on infrastructure and services.
- API & Load Balancing: Expertise in designing, maintaining, and optimizing APIs and load balancers is important. Candidates should have experience with REST, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, API Gateway, and load balancing solutions to ensure optimal traffic distribution and performance.
Additional Skills
- Linux OS Concepts: A strong understanding of Linux operating system fundamentals is necessary, as you will be working in a Linux-based environment. You will apply your knowledge of Linux to manage servers, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure security and performance.
- Security Practices: Familiarity with security standards and practices, such as OWASP and static code analysis, is crucial for ensuring that applications and infrastructure are secure. Any experience with fintech security standards like PCI-DSS or SOC2 will be considered a plus.
- AWS Cloud Certifications: While not mandatory, having AWS Cloud certifications is highly preferred. This demonstrates expertise in AWS services and tools, providing an edge in managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure.
Nice To Have
- AWS Data Services: Knowledge of AWS data services such as DMS, Glue, Athena, and Redshift is highly beneficial. These services will play a key role in managing, processing, and analyzing data efficiently in the cloud environment.
- Start-up Experience: Experience working in start-up environments is a plus. The fast-paced and dynamic nature of start-ups requires adaptability, innovation, and quick problem-solving, which are valuable in this role.
- Distributed Teams: Experience working with distributed teams across different geographies is also desirable, as it requires effective communication and collaboration skills.
Experience
- AWS Services: Extensive hands-on experience with a broad range of AWS services is required, as you will be responsible for building and maintaining cloud infrastructure using these tools.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Go, or shell scripting, is essential. You will use this skill for automating tasks and managing infrastructure through code.
- RDBMS/NoSQL: Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB, is necessary. You’ll work with these databases to manage data storage and retrieval efficiently.
- Docker, Microservices, and Cloud-Native Tools: Experience with Docker, microservices architecture, and cloud-native tools like Kubernetes is crucial for managing and scaling applications effectively in a modern cloud environment.
