Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience as a Customer Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Deployment Engineer in a B2B software environment or 2+ years of DevOps or Software Engineering experience with an interest in transitioning to a customer-focused role.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and deployment practices for both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience owning or assisting in the deployment of cloud-hosted, managed products.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to interact confidently with customers daily.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, as the demands of this startup may involve more than 60 hours per week.
- Prior experience in a startup environment is highly desirable.
Bonus Skills
- Coding experience, ideally with Python, TypeScript, or React.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the key technical advisor for our customers, building lasting relationships and offering expert support.
- Guide customers through self-hosted product deployments across various cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and using different tools (Docker Compose, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, Helm).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex deployment-specific issues alongside customers.
- Develop features that eliminate common deployment hurdles.
- Ensure customers have a seamless onboarding experience.
- Help customers find the most impactful use cases for the product to maximize its value.
- Act as the voice of the customer, bridging communication between the product team and customers.
