Title: DevOps Engineer V – Senior Cloud Platform Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC (3-days onsite, 2-days remote Hybrid schedule)

We are seeking an innovative and passionate individual who can provide significant contributions in the design, coding, testing, support, and debugging of software and enhancements to existing software, specifically focused on Public Cloud solutions. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure as code solutions and tools for our cloud-based systems and applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our cloud infrastructure adheres to industry best practices and regulatory compliance standards.
Job Duties:
- Design, develop, and prototype cloud deployed services, APIs, and serverless applications using infrastructure as code (Terraform) to enable business capabilities in alignment with architecture direction and standards
- Improve the enterprise Cloud Platform through implementation of custom preventative and responsive controls
- Lead the development and deployment of new features and tooling to solve complex problems at scale
- Participate in an Agile delivery process as part of a team that helps size stories and own, research, and recommend new solutions
- Aid in the implementation of monitoring using various tools, collection of metrics to enhance visibility, and implementation of alerting to enhance service reliability
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation related to infrastructure deployment patterns and best practices
- Handle other duties, as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- Expert-level knowledge of application and AWS (cloud) architecture and related technologies, with experience implementing serverless and event-driven solutions
- Proficiency in Terraform to configure and deploy infrastructure to the cloud
- Expert-level knowledge of AWS IAM policy development for secure role provisioning and service control policies for enforcement
- Hands-on experience with Python and boto3 library
- Strong experience with CI/CD processes, including with tools such as Gitlab
- Excellent technical documentation capabilities (e.g., data models, process diagrams, high-level designs, etc.)
- A strong grasp of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) concepts
- Ability to provide strategy and vision and present and endorse/champion them with stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Collaborative, team-player ability, including the ability to take initiative and manage bodies of work, not just tasks
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field required; AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional and/or Terraform certifications preferred
