Responsibilities:
- Design and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and automate configurations with tools like Puppet.
- Partner with infrastructure teams to identify and automate repetitive tasks, enhancing efficiency and reliability.
- Develop and maintain scripts using Bash and Python to streamline system administration processes.
- Manage both on-premises environments (such as VMware) and cloud platforms (Azure and AWS).
- Keep documentation accurate and up-to-date using platforms like JIRA and SharePoint.
- Participate in CI/CD processes and implement solutions using tools like Bamboo.
- Ensure security best practices are prioritized and applied throughout automation workflows.
- Be a versatile contributor, capable of working independently or collaboratively to drive projects to success.
- Respond to and manage ad hoc requirements from leadership, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure automation and cloud technologies.
- Strong expertise in Terraform and a basic understanding of Puppet.
- Proficiency in operating systems like Linux and Windows.
- Solid knowledge of scripting languages, including Bash and Python.
- Hands-on experience with VMware and cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
- Familiarity with documentation tools like JIRA and SharePoint.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD technologies
- An understanding of security protocols and how to incorporate them into automated workflows.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment or as an independent contributor.
