Key Responsibilities:
- Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts to provision infrastructure, configure systems, deploy applications, and perform repetitive tasks across the development lifecycle.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions to automate testing, code integration, and deployment processes.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize tools like Terraform or Ansible to manage infrastructure configuration through code, enabling repeatable provisioning and scaling.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Implement monitoring systems to track application performance, identify potential issues, and trigger alerts for timely troubleshooting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to understand requirements, identify pain points, and collaborate on solutions.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to system failures, deployment errors, and performance bottlenecks.
Required Skills
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Configuration Management: Experience with tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for system configuration management
- Containerization: Understanding of container technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
- Version Control: Expertise in Git for code management
- System Administration: Basic system administration skills on Linux or Windows platforms
- DevOps Tools: Familiarity with various CI/CD tools, monitoring systems, and other relevant DevOps technologies
- Communication and Collaboration: Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
