Roles and Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient software delivery.
- Manage and automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to maintain system uptime and reliability.
- Containerization and Orchestration
- Develop and deploy applications using containerization technologies like Docker.
- Implement and manage container orchestration solutions such as Kubernetes.
- Cloud Operations
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure cloud environments on AWS and Azure.
- Optimize cloud costs and ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
- Scripting and Automation
- Develop scripts using Shell, Python, or other languages for automation tasks and system maintenance.
- Create tools and dashboards to streamline DevOps workflows.
- Linux Administration
- Manage and maintain Linux-based systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
- Implement best practices for system hardening, patch management, and vulnerability assessments.
- Database and Storage Management
- Perform basic database management tasks, including backups, optimization, and troubleshooting for SQL and other databases.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance.
- Security and Compliance
- Implement DevSecOps practices to secure the CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and best practices, including encryption, IAM, and vulnerability management.
- Monitoring and Performance Tuning
- Set up monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch to track system health and performance.
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize systems for better performance and cost efficiency.
- Collaboration and Documentation
- Work closely with development, QA, and IT teams to ensure smooth deployments and integration.
- Document processes, systems, and tools to enable knowledge sharing and troubleshooting.
- Problem-Solving and On-Call Support
- Be proactive in identifying and resolving operational issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations to handle production incidents and minimize downtime.
Skills And Qualifications
- Technical Skills : Strong expertise in Linux, scripting (Shell, Python), Docker, and cloud platforms (Azure and AWS).
- Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL and database management.
- Security Acumen: Familiarity with infrastructure security practices, encryption, IAM, and vulnerability assessments.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems with a detail oriented approach.
- Work Ethic: A dedicated and hardworking attitude with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
