Role and responsibilities:
As a contractor/consultant, the candidate must have 1-2 years of experience in implementing multitenant SaaS solutions (1 year minimum in AWS), contributing to development, troubleshooting and improving the systems that keep the backend infrastructure running smoothly. The role requires to have hands-on technical experience and a can-do approach towards environment automation/management and continuous improvement.
The role will encompass use of a broad range of AWS technologies, DevOps, operating systems (Windows, Linux) and application environments (SQL Server, nginx, Cassandra, AWS Fargate, Elastic search, AWS Dynamo DB, Node JS, Lambda, Docker etc.), with an emphasis on the implementation of best practices with robust security principles.
Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Computer Science/Electronics or equivalent technical discipline from a reputed institute
Role Type: Contract
Duration of contract: 1 year (conversion / extension will depend on business needs & individual’s performance)
Skills: (Technical & Behavioural)
- Total Experience of 1-2 years (AWS: 1-year minimum experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, RDS, API Gateway, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution
- Knowledge of Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, Salt or similar tools
- DevOps: Jenkins, Supervisor, Ansible, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Docker, JFrog, etc.
- Knowledge in one / more of the languages - Node.js, Angular, Python will be an advantage
- Problem Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues
- Behavioural Skills: Should have strong verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, accountability, strategic orientation, take initiative, learnability, strong decision-making capabilities, should be a team player
Desired Skills:
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile software development and any other project management methodologies
- Version Control: Experience using version control systems such as git and github workflows
- Networking: Understanding of network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP) will be advantageous
- Professional commitment to high quality, and a passion for learning new skills
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts and technologies
- Must be a good team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a geographically dispersed working environment
- AWS certification and hand-on experience to deployment paradigms will be a huge plus
