About The Role
As a Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible to work on complex automations, enhancing cloud infrastructure and troubleshooting. Your work will directly support executive decision-making, stakeholder communications, and strategic business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software developers, quality assurance engineers and IT professionals to guarantee smooth deployment, automation and management of software infrastructure.
- Consulting with management on the operational requirements of software solutions.
- Contributing expertise on information system options, risk, and operational impact.
- Mentoring junior software developers in gaining experience and assuming DevOps responsibilities.
- Managing the installation and configuration of solutions.
- Oversee routine maintenance procedures and perform diagnostic tests.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for multiple software applications and environments.
- Create and maintain monitoring systems to guarantee high availability and performance for software applications.
- Documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
- Manage and enhance cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Automating software deployment, configuration, and upkeep processes.
- Troubleshoot software infrastructure issues and collaborate with the team to resolve them.
- Conforming to best practices in network administration and cybersecurity.
- Design and implement IaC solutions to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IaC-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest IaC tools and technologies.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, then utilize them to enhance your software infrastructure.
Key Qualifications:
- Graduate/post-graduate degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5 years of proven experience as an IaC Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or related role.
- Extensive experience in DevOps engineering, team management, and collaboration.
- Acquaintance with software development processes and methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with continuous integration/delivery tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI would be advantageous.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP.
- Excellent scripting skills in Bash, Python, PowerShell or Ruby.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with configuration management and orchestration tools.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of Agile and DevOps principles and their application in infrastructure automation.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack is essential.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services, including virtualization, networking, and storage.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
