As we embark on building a state-of-the-art headless commerce storefront, we’re looking for a passionate intern eager to learn, create, and innovate with us.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated E-Commerce Developer Intern with a keen interest in headless commerce. In this role, you will work alongside our experienced development team to build a custom e-commerce website using Next.js, integrated with Shopify’s Storefront API, and deployed on AWS. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with modern web technologies and scalable cloud infrastructure while making a real impact on our digital commerce strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Custom Storefronts:
- Build and enhance a headless e-commerce website using Next.js.
- Integrate with Shopify’s Storefront API to fetch and display product data using GraphQL.
- AWS Deployment & Infrastructure:
- Assist in deploying the application on AWS using services such as AWS Amplify or serverless frameworks.
- Collaborate in setting up CI/CD pipelines, managing deployment configurations, and optimizing for global performance.
- Collaborative Development:
- Work closely with designers and backend developers to create a seamless, high-performance user experience.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and brainstorming to continuously improve the product.
- Testing & Optimization:
- Implement performance optimizations including server-side rendering (SSR) and client-side optimizations.
- Write and maintain documentation for development processes and deployment strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in JavaScript, React, and Next.js.
- Basic understanding of GraphQL and API integrations.
- Familiarity with AWS deployment strategies (e.g., AWS Amplify, AWS Lambda, CloudFront) is a plus.
- Exposure to headless commerce concepts and Shopify’s Storefront API is desirable.
- Soft Skills:
- A passion for e-commerce and cutting-edge web technologies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and best practices.
