Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Contract DevOps Engineer to manage and execute infrastructure setup, CI/CD pipeline creation, and deployment processes for various environments. This is a fully remote position. The ideal candidate will have expertise in tools like Nexus, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Infrastructure Enablement:
- Configure and manage Nexus Sonatype for artifact management.
- Create and manage user accounts with default passwords for local IDE and PC access to Nexus.
- Share Python, NPM, Docker, and Maven Java settings with developers.
- Set up blob storage and configure repositories for NPM, Python, Docker, and Maven proxies.
2. Application DevOps:
- Develop Docker Compose configurations for local, dev, staging, and production environments.
- Create and maintain Jenkinsfiles for CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes configurations across development, staging, and production environments.
3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Implement Terraform for provisioning Kubernetes services, namespaces, storage, and other control plane tasks.
- Build CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure using Jenkins and Harness.
- Deploy infrastructure and applications to AWS and Azure environments.
4. Integration & Security:
- Configure Harness for integration with Jira and Bitbucket.
- Enable SSO/SAML authentication for internal applications, Jenkins, Nexus, and Harness.
5. Artifact Management & Deployment:
- Configure Nexus proxy repositories to enable:
- NPM installs
- Python requirements.txt
- Docker image pulls
- Maven dependency management
- Set up Jenkins pipelines to build, store, and push Docker images to deployment tools like Argo CD.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Harness).
- Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Hands-on experience with Nexus Sonatype setup and proxy configuration.
- Proficiency in Python, NPM, Docker, and Maven configurations.
- Familiarity with SSO/SAML integrations for secure access.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Argo CD or similar tools for deployment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a remote work environment.
Terms:
- This is a contract-based position with monthly compensation of ₹48,000.
- The contract may be renewed based on performance and project requirements.
