We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer with expertise in AWS infrastructure, to join our cloud operations team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices to automate deployments, improve system reliability, and enhance cloud security.

Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field with equivalent work experience
- Strong ITIL process and process-improvement orientation
- A passion for customer service and excellent execution
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Available for occasional travel up to 5%
- Flexible working hours with occasional on-call support as needed
Competencies
- 3+ years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Strong expertise in AFT/Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS org and service control policies, multi-account best practices, control tower, AWS logging,
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, ECS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and Route 53.
- Experience with AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, and AWS Cost & Usage Reports to implement cost allocation and chargeback strategies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including VPC, VPN, security groups, Firewall, and load balancers.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS) and containerization
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, creating runbooks, collaborating with multiple teams.
- Linux system administration
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC tools.
- Automate cloud deployments, configurations, and monitoring to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
- Work closely with DevOps and development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and automated application deployments.
- Optimize cloud environments for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
- Implement security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and compliance with industry standards. Build and maintain security policies.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide long-term solutions.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture and governance frameworks.
- Stay up to date with the latest AWS services, automation tools, and industry trends.
- Build and maintain cost allocation and chargeback to ensure accurate tracking and distribution of cloud expenses across teams or business units.
