Azure Applications Architect

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Applications Architect to design, develop, and modernize enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Azure PaaS services, microservices architecture, application modernization, cloud-native development, and DevOps. This role involves guiding teams in building scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design cloud-native applications using Azure PaaS services (App Services, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, etc.).
- Define and implement microservices architecture using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Service Fabric, or container-based solutions.
- Lead application modernization initiatives, including migrating legacy applications to Azure cloud.
- Design and integrate serverless computing and event-driven architectures using Azure Functions, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
- Implement best practices for DevOps using Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep).
- Ensure application security, scalability, and performance optimization following Azure Well-Architected Framework.
- Work closely with development teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to align solutions with business goals.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, promoting cloud best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12-15 years of experience in software architecture and development, with expertise in Azure cloud application services.
- Strong knowledge of .NET Core, C# for cloud application development.
- Expertise in Azure PaaS offerings like App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, and Cosmos DB.
- Experience in containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, Service Fabric).
- Hands-on experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and API-first design.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep).
- Understanding of cloud security, identity management (Azure AD, Managed Identities), and compliance.
- Strong problem-solving, architectural design, and leadership skills to guide teams effectively.
