Overview:
we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience in Amazon DCV (Desktop Cloud Visualization), AWS ParallelCluster, and Linux/Windows VDI management for high-performance computing (HPC) and 3D visualization workflows. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, configuring, and maintaining Amazon DCV pools for shared Linux VDIs and supporting visualization nodes for seismic workflows. This position also involves handling external access via the Amazon DCV Connection Gateway and establishing naming conventions and standards within the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Amazon DCV Setup & Management:
- Configure and maintain Amazon DCV for Windows and Linux VDIs.
- Manage Amazon DCV pools for shared Linux VDIs.
- Integrate DCV naming conventions and standards across the infrastructure.
- Set up and support Linux visualization VDIs for HPC seismic workflows.
- AWS ParallelCluster Customization:
- Customize and maintain Windows images with AWS ParallelCluster for 3D visualization workflows.
- External Access and Security Management:
- Implement and manage the Amazon DCV Connection Gateway for external access.
- Create, implement, and enforce DCV OS standards.
- Collaboration & Standards:
- Work cross-functionally to ensure best practices in infrastructure setup and management.
- Contribute to documentation of setup standards, configurations, and processes.
Required Skills:
- Amazon DCV and VDI Setup: Strong experience with Amazon DCV and configuring VDI environments.
- AWS ParallelCluster: Expertise in using AWS ParallelCluster for customized 3D visualization workflows.
- Linux/Windows VDI Management: In-depth knowledge of managing both Linux and Windows VDI environments.
- HPC Seismic Workflows: Experience with HPC seismic workflows and management of Linux visualization nodes.
- External Access & Security: Ability to configure Amazon DCV Connection Gateway and implement security policies for external access.
- AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Proficient in AWS services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, and related cloud infrastructure services.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in cloud infrastructure, VDI, and HPC workflows.
- Industry Experience: Preferably experience in related industries such as energy, scientific computing, or similar fields is a plus.
