Overview
We are actively seeking a
GCP Cloud Engineer with expertise in
Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Kubernetes Engine. This role involves
infrastructure management, automation, DevOps practices, and database management within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate should also be proficient with
Terraform,
Docker, and
container orchestration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Kubernetes Engine.
- Develop and automate cloud applications using Python, Java, or Go.
- Build and integrate REST and gRPC APIs for cloud-based services.
- Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Configure and manage SQL and NoSQL databases within GCP environments.
- Deploy and manage applications using Docker containers and Kubernetes.
- Troubleshoot and optimize cloud-based applications for scalability and performance.
- Monitor and ensure cloud resource usage and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust cloud solutions.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience as a GCP Cloud Engineer.
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Kubernetes Engine.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go for cloud application development.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Deep understanding of container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong grasp of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases in cloud environments.
- Ability to work onsite in San Antonio, TX.
Preferred Experience
- Advanced understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud security best practices.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Stackdriver.
- Exposure to Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Anthos
