We are looking for a hands-on DevOps SME/Architect with 14–16 years of experience to lead and enhance our DevOps processes for a 24–30 member team.
The ideal candidate will identify gaps in current methodologies, build a robust backlog, set standards for monitoring and automation, and provide hands-on support to resolve complex issues.
This role requires deep expertise in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and modern DevOps tools, along with strong leadership to guide the team toward operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Gap Analysis & Strategy: Assess current DevOps practices, identify inefficiencies, and propose actionable improvements to optimize workflows.
- Backlog Development: Build and prioritize a comprehensive DevOps backlog to address gaps, enhance automation, and improve system reliability.
- Hands-On Leadership: Actively participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving critical issues, providing hands-on support when required.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other tools to ensure seamless software delivery.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Lead the adoption and management of containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Automation & Monitoring Standards: Establish best-in-class standards for monitoring, logging, and automation to enhance system performance and uptime.
- Scripting & Development: Develop and maintain scripts in Groovy, Python, or other relevant languages to automate processes and improve efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor and guide a team of 24–30 DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to align DevOps strategies with business objectives.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Experience: 14–16 years of hands-on DevOps experience, with a proven track record as a DevOps SME or Architect.
Technical Expertise
- Deep knowledge of Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline development and management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy and Python.
- Extensive experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of monitoring and automation tools to set enterprise-grade standards.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor a large team, drive process improvements, and build a prioritized backlog.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify gaps, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Hands-On Approach: Willingness to dive into technical challenges and provide hands-on support when needed.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Hyderabad, India.
